At IMG Arena, we acquire the official rights to the data and video streams of a diverse range of federations, tournament formats and sports such as basketball, football, golf, MMA, table tennis, tennis, volleyball and many more to come. We collect the player and ball tracking, scoring and other data at venues in real-time, augment it using mathematical models and deliver at low latency speed to customers across the world, as well as provide advanced visualisations for web and mobile, including 3D views.

As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with people across the business, from agile development teams to business stakeholders, with the responsibility of designing, implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will ensure adherence to security, best practice and standards for all application development, deployment and testing practices. You will design, develop, update and promote standards within the lifecycle management platform, making use of modern software practices such as “infrastructure as code”. You help the engineering community learn and grow as industry best practices for DevOps evolve.
What will you be doing?
Design, develop, and manage cloud-based infrastructure at scale (e.g. AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Partner with developers to balance performance and resilience, while helping automate build/deploy process (e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions)
Manage and maintain standards for DevOps tools used across the organisation Contribute to future design/architecture solutions that directly impact the business Maintain security first mindset to help support applications across the organisation Share knowledge with peers and developers to maintain standards
Implement and manage automated testing for infrastructure and tooling
We're looking for:
AWS experience (e.g EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, Cloudfront)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Container Orchestration tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Docker and )Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Prometheus/Thanos, Loki, Jaeger, Tempo, Grafana) Knowledge of Linux and scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python, Golang) is a bonus
Analytical mind with problem-solving skills
Approachable and a proficient communicator across organisational levels of technical and non-technical

The office is equipped with electric adjustable standing desks, high-resolution monitors, your choice of a high- spec MacBook Pro or Windows laptop, modern meeting rooms, breakout spaces and canteen with breakfast and fruit baskets.
Hybrid workplace and remote working are supported in the technology team with the expectation of working in the office minimum 2 days a month. People are encouraged to come in once or twice a week for meetings and socialising. Some of us prefer to work in the office most of the time, which is also supported.
